Build a circuit with up to three qubits. Load an example or place the gates yourself. Your browser calculates the state and draws 2,048 measurement samples from it.
Runs in your browser · up to 3 qubits · 8 steps · 2,048 simulated measurements
Hadamard (H) prepares a state with equally likely measurement outcomes from the initial state 0. Flip (X) swaps 0 and 1. Phase flip (Z) changes the relative phase, the orientation of an amplitude. Apply another H gate to see its effect on measurement probabilities.
Controlled flip (CX) flips the second qubit when the first is 1. H followed by CX prepares the twin Bell state. More gates include quarter- and eighth-turn phases, controlled phase and swap.
The outline shows the calculated probability. The filled bar counts the outcomes of 2,048 simulated measurements. Frequencies can differ from the prediction. With more samples, they approach it in the statistical sense.
For three qubits, your browser calculates eight complex amplitudes. Larger experiments on the home page use our i9 compute service. The programs model quantum states using different computational methods and supported sizes.
